Antonia Botero is an Architect, multiple business-owner and professional project manager. Owner of boutique project management and business consulting firm MADDPROJECT, Antonia believes in the power of applying strategic project planning and data-driven decision-making to all capital improvement and new construction projects, regardless of scope.

Prior to founding MADDPROJECT in 2017, Antonia worked in-house at a Manhattan-based real estate development company with a focus on large-scale conversion projects in Manhattan's financial district. During her time working in the financial district, Antonia contributed to the design, permitting and completion of over 1,000 luxury residential units and multiple building amenities across over a million square feet. Her experience spanned from the beginning stages of project planning, including directing the design team to construction completion, FF&E procurement and staging of public amenity areas.

Before joining the Real Estate Development side of the industry, Antonia worked as an Associate Architect at Beyer Blinder Belle Architects, where she focused on construction administration and new construction. While at BBB, Antonia also played a leading role in a wide range of projects, including the Essex Crossing RFP in collaboration with SHoP Architects, the design and documentation of Extell's 500 E. 14th St, the construction administration (including the restoration of the historic façade) of 45 Great Jones and expert witness brief documentation for several IRS historic tax credit cases.

More recently, Antonia worked on the TWA Hotel project located at the John F.Kennedy International Airport for MCR Development, the project owner. Her work at TWA included oversight of the construction and coordination of the project's F&B components, including the Connie airplane bar and all banquet kitchens. Additionally, Antonia was in charge of the renovation progress of the historic 1962 Eero Saarinen Flight Center building. Drawing from her experience in large-scale renovation and in navigating through the intricacies of historic preservation projects, Antonia contributed to the timely opening of the Flight Center, including the bespoke fine-dining restaurant, the Paris Café.  In addition to her work at TWA, Antonia led the creation and oversight of the select service project management team responsible for the new construction and capital improvement of MCR's national portfolio of over 90 branded select-service hotels. Through her ongoing collaboration on MCR's capital improvement work, Antonia has completed projects in over 30 US jurisdictions, including large metropolitan areas.

Antonia's diverse experience has led her to develop resilient professional relationships with some of the most recognized names in the New York City and national design and construction industries. Her project approach focuses on strong contract negotiation and administration, and she has successfully completed dozens of projects through strategic planning and collaboration. Her strong technical abilities in both design and construction, a result of her numerous hours of work in the field, have led her to be a sought-after professional consultant. Her current focus is on growing her consulting business to markets beyond NYC, while she continues to deliver for her existing clients.  Antonia received an M.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Professional Bachelor degree in Architecture from the University of Miami. She is also a Registered Architect in Florida, New York and Utah, and is nationally certified by NCARB.
